My sweaters of the current collection are best suited for structured, kind of 40s-era looks. For the most part, that's where I cull my inspiration. For instance, I just designed a sweater that'll look killer with these shoes from Bass Loves Rachel Antonoff:
Ack! I want them! Should I spend over 100 bucks on a pair of red and white penny loafers with hearts?
More and more, though, I want to make knitwear that would look great as an extra layer on a Rodarte garment. Like this (gotta love a gorgeous contrasting peplum!):
Or this:
Or a shawl that would complement Gudrun Sjödén's most recent collection.
I especially love this get-up:
And I'd love to make some gauzy things that would go well with dresses like these from Kenzo:
I know they're kind of '90s, but I like them anyhow:
Where are you finding your inspiration these days?

Thanks, Jada! Hope things are well with you. Love your new-ish site!
Oh no! My cover is blown! hehe
I'm trying to write the blog in the voice of an older woman with a lot of accumulated wealth and time and gardening know-how.
I love the Bass shoes :)
